William J. Maffucci, Esq.
Mr. Maffucci is an attorney with the firm Semanoff, Ormsby, Greenberg & Torchia, LLC, based in Huntingdon Valley. His focus is real estate, including both transactional matters and litigation. Mr. Maffucci’s litigation practice includes partition proceedings, mortgage-enforcement proceedings, landlord-tenant disputes, bankruptcy proceedings involving real estate, zoning and land-use proceedings, creditors’-rights proceedings, quiet-title proceedings, boundary disputes, other disputes involving adjoining or neighboring landowners, mechanics’-lien proceedings, construction litigation, buyer-seller litigation, and title disputes. He studied sociology and philosophy at the State University College in Oneonta, New York, earning his B.A. with high honors in 1980. Mr. Maffucci earned his J.D. in 1985 from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School, where he was editor-in-chief of the Buffalo Law Review. Prior to joining his current firm in February 2009, he was a partner in the real-estate practice group of a large Philadelphia law firm. Mr. Maffucci has written and spoken frequently about real-estate matters. He has also written and spoken frequently about, and is a crusader for, the use of plain English by lawyers.
