Mr. Lebovits is a shareholder with the law firm of Zarwin, Baum, DeVito, Kaplan, Schaer & Toddy, a sixty attorney general practice law firm in Center City, Philadelphia, where he oversees the lawfirm’s nursing home litigation division. Mr. Lebovits earned his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Memphis in 1987. After working for the American Jewish Congress in Washington, D.C. as a Legislative Assistant, Mr. Lebovits enrolled at Temple University where he earned his J.D. in 1992. Since 1998, Mr. Lebovits has focused his practice exclusively in the area of nursing home neglect and abuse cases, representing care dependent adults in claims against nursing homes, personal care homes, assisted living facilities, home health aides, community based housing and hospitals. Mr. Lebovits has written a variety of articles for local newspapers on the topic of nursing home neglect and abuse, has been a guest on local television and radio programs on the topic of nursing home neglect and abuse, and he has spoken to community groups on the topic of nursing home neglect and abuse.   Mr. Lebovits last presented on behalf of PBI in April of 2020 on the topic of nursing home litigation in the age of Covid 19.  Since then, Attorney Lebovits has fielded and reviewed dozens of potential Covid 19 claims agaisnt long term care facilities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. 

Mr. Kardon is a shareholder in the firm of Kanter, Bernstein & Kardon, P.C. in Philadelphia. A graduate of Boston University and Suffolk University Law School, he has been a member of the bars of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Massachusetts since 1977. After serving three years as an Assistant City Solicitor in the Philadelphia Law Department, Mr. Kardon began representing injured persons and families in claims for harm suffered in long term care. He is a member of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Association of Justice and the American Association of Justice, for which he has served on the Executive Committee and Chair of the national Nursing Homes Litigation Group. Mr. Kardon is a frequent lecturer throughout the country on long term care neglect and abuse. He has been selected for inclusion in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® every year since 2012.

Mr. Mundy is a Partner at the firm Burns White, LLC in West Conshohocken. He is co-chair of the firms Health Care and Professional Liability group. Mr. Mundy has published on long term care litigation, including the recent articles, Healthcare REITs: Increased Revenue, increased Risk, The Legal Intelligencer, March 17, 2015; Scampone v Grane: Changing the Landscape for Nursing Home Litigation, The Legal Intelligencer, January 25, 2011; and Arbitration Agreements in long Term Care: The Impact of the Federal Arbitration Act and U.S. Supreme Court Opinions, New Jersey Law Journal, March 26, 2012. He has appeared on law and news programs to discuss nursing home litigation, including The American Law Journal and Its Your Call with Lynn Doyle. In 2009, Mr. Mundy was designated as the Defense Bar Liaison Counsel for the Philadelphia County Nursing Home Litigation Program. He serves as co-counsel for the Pennsylvania Health Care Association/ Center for Assisted Living Management’s Tort Liability Committee, assisting with policy and legislative initiatives in support of the healthcare industry in Pennsylvania. Mr. Mundy is a member of the PBA Elder Law Committee and the PHCAs Long-Term Care Specialty Council. In 2002, Mr. Mundy was recognized by The Legal Intelligencer and the Pennsylvania Law Weekly in the inaugural publication “50 on the Fast Track” – a listing of the top 50 young attorneys in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He was named a Super Lawyer for 8 years in the annual Philadelphia Magazine review. He has served on the board of the Delaware County chapter of the American Red Cross and several planning and fundraising committees.

Ms. Stefanski is a Member in the Philadelphia office of Burns White. Experienced in complex state and federal litigation matters, she focuses her practice on defending healthcare providers, including rehabilitation centers, LTC facilities and medical professionals against professional and general liability matters. She is actively involved in the legal community. She has been a speaker at Pennsylvania Health Care Association (PHCA) events, most recently focusing on the effects of social media on the healthcare industry, and volunteers with the Philadelphia Elder Justice and Civil Resource Center. She is also a member of the firm’s Women’s Initiative. Prior to joining Burns White, she worked as an Associate at an insurance defense firm in Philadelphia, where she represented and defended corporations, medical device manufacturers, hospitals, construction companies, and individuals in the areas of general liability, products liability, medical malpractice, and construction matters. Ms. Stefanski received her juris doctorate from Widener University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Villanova University. Ms. Stefanski is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
