Overview

DEI is under legal attack in a wide variety of programs meant to provide access and opportunities for success for historically underrepresented communities.

In June 2023, the Supreme Court effectively ended race-based affirmative action in higher education in the Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) case. On the heels of that decision, workplace DEI efforts are now being questioned and challenged.

Faced with a messy legal landscape, law firms and legal departments are treading cautiously. The big question coming from both internal and external channels: is it now necessary to modify diversity programs to provide protection against legal scrutiny?

Join an engaging panel discussion that will provide an overview and guidance on various challenges to DEI impacting:

  • Policies and practices in law firms and legal departments
  • Policies and practices in advising clients affected by these issues

Co-sponsored with the PBA Large Law Firm and In-House Counsel Committees.

Recorded in August 2024.
