Meredith J. Brennan, Esq.
Ms. Brennan is a partner with the law firm of Momjian Anderer LLC, based in Philadelphia. Ms. Brennan the former Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Family Law Section and a member of its Executive Committee. She is a member of the Editorial Board of the Pennsylvania Family Lawyer; she served as a Council Member for the Pennsylvania State Bar Association’s Family Law Section; and she was a member of the Section’s Programming Committee. Ms. Brennan is a frequent volunteer for Philadelphia’s Volunteers for the Indigent Program. Ms. Brennan has published numerous articles on a variety of family law topics in The Legal Intelligencer, Pennsylvania Law Weekly, The Matrimonial Strategist, and others. She has lectured on custody, support, and divorce issues for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and local and state bar associations, as well as at the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges. She has been named a “Pennsylvania Super Lawyer” since 2017; and previously a “Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star” by Philadelphia Magazine every year since 2005. She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Gerald L. Shoemaker, Jr., Esq.
Mr. Shoemaker is a shareholder at Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin & Schiller in Plymouth Meeting. He concentrates his practice in domestic relations issues, including equitable distribution, alimony, custody and support matters. Mr. Shoemaker has also handled a variety of issues arising out of same-sex relationships. Sensitive to his clients’ needs, he is settlement-oriented but ready to litigate when necessary. Mr. Shoemaker has been repeatedly recognized as a leader in family law and was named one of the Greater Philadelphia Region’s Ten Leaders in Divorce Law, 45 & Under, by the Ten Leaders Cooperative. He has earned multiple recognitions by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star in Family Law and, subsequently, as a Super Lawyer. Mr. Shoemaker is committed to the practice of family law, evidenced by his active participation in the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA), which selected him as one of 10 members to participate in its prestigious leadership program. He is a frequent lecturer on family law topics for both the PBA and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. Mr. Shoemaker is a member of the PBA Family Law Section (FLS) and he serves as the second vice chair. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He also serves as an editor for the American Bar Association’s quarterly publication, Family Advocate. He offers free legal clinics at the Women’s Center of Montgomery County, an organization that focuses on freedom from domestic violence and other forms of abuse. He is a member of the Doris Jonas Freed Inns of Court. Mr. Shoemaker is a board member of the Regional Center for Women in the Arts, whose mission is to advance women in all aspects of art. A graduate of University of Pittsburgh School of Law, he received his B.A. from Duquesne University.
Ned Hark, Esq.
Mr. Hark is a partner of the law firm of Goldsmith, Hark & Hornak, P.C., in Philadelphia, and is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the federal courts. He is a mentor at the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Domestic Relations Command. Mr. Hark is a past chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section and of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Family Law Section. He has been a chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association Lawyer Referral and Information Service Oversight Committee. He has chaired the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section Legislative Committee, and has served as the section’s Programming Committee co-chair and on its council and executive committee. Mr. Hark has appeared on several television programs that featured topics on domestic relations issues and the practice of family law, and has testified before both houses of the Pennsylvania Legislature on pending legislation. He is a co-course planner for the annual Family Law Institute and is a frequent lecturer on family law issues. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers. Mr. Hark is a past president of Whitemarsh Township Little League and a founding member and president of the Colonial Baseball Association. Mr. Hark received his B.A. from Albright College and his J.D. from Ohio Northern University.
Lawrence J. Persick, Esq.
Mr. Persick is a Partner at Weber Gallagher in King of Prussia. Credited for his ability to resolve complex family law issues, he represents clients involved in divorces, custody disputes and adoptions. Mr. Persick’s experience also includes cases dealing with juvenile dependency and the termination of parental rights. He has represented the prevailing party in many notable cases, including a Berks County decision granting punitive damages on tort claims raised in the context of a divorce action. The case is believed to be one of the few decisions, if not the only one, granting this relief. In a case that received national attention, Mr. Persick represented the Chester County Department of Children, Youth and Families in state court proceedings relative to the placement of an African-American child for adoption with an African-American family over the objections and collateral lawsuits of a white foster family as well as in other contested adoptions. A former assistant public defender for Chester County, he has served as a member of the executive committee of Brian’s Run, a Chester County charity that raises funds for physically challenged individuals. Mr. Persick has also been involved in fundraising activities for Chester County Hospital, including the hospital’s May Festival, Dash for Diabetes and the Women’s Resource Center. He delivers annual talks on young people and the law to various secondary schools in Chester County. Mr. Persick is a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and has been a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Family Law Section Council, legislative co-chair, and Family Court Rules Committee, the Orphans’ Court Rules Committee of the Court of Common Pleas of Chester County and was former Co-Chair of the Chester County Bar Association’s Family Law Section. He received his B.A. in Philosophy from Dickinson College and his J.D. from Dickinson School of Law.
Nora Winkelman, Esq.
Ms. Winkelman is recently retired from State Government. From February of 2009 to May of 2020, she was Chief Counsel to the Democratic Caucus of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. As Chief Counsel, Ms. Winkelman was responsible for general legal advice to the leadership, other members and staff of the House Democratic Caucus regarding contracts, legislation, litigation, ethics and personnel issues, among other things. Prior to her role as Chief Counsel, Ms. Winkelman was an Executive Deputy General Counsel with the Governor’s Office of General Counsel and served as Governor Edward G. Rendell’s legislative counsel. She was responsible for advising the Governor, the Governor’s General Counsel and the Governor’s Senior Staff on all matters relating to legislation. Before entering State government service in 2003, Ms. Winkelman was engaged in the practice of law in the real estate and lending areas and general corporate law with extensive experience in multi-million dollar banking and real estate transactions. Representations included banks and financial institutions, real estate developers and buyers and sellers of commercial and residential properties, closely held corporations, partnerships and other businesses in general business matters. Before stepping down in May of 2022, Ms. Winkelman was the House Democratic Leader’s appointee to the Interbranch Commission on Gender, Racial and Ethnic Fairness and served as the Commission’s Co-Chair from 2014 to 2020. Ms. Winkelman is a gubernatorial appointee to the Uniform Law Commission and has served as a Commissioner from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 2003.She has served on a number of ULC study, drafting and standing committees since then and served as Secretary of the Executive Committee from July of 2017 to July of 2019. Ms. Winkelman is a 1986 graduate of the Villanova University School of Law and a 1983 graduate of LaSalle College.
Christina M. DeMatteo, Esq.
Ms. DeMatteo founded the Law Office of Christina M. DeMatteo, LLC, in 2018. Her practice focuses on family law, including custody, support, equitable distribution and protection from abuse. Ms. DeMatteo currently serves as Secretary of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section and is a former Chair of the Montgomery Bar Association Family Law Section and a former president of the Doris Jonas Freed Inn of Court. She has been recognized by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers annually since 2017 and has been selected by her peers for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America. Ms. DeMatteo is an active member of the family law sections of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Montgomery Bar Association, and a course planner for PBI’s Family Law Institute. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Wissahickon Educational Opportunities Foundation (WEOF) and Family Services of Montgomery County. Ms. DeMatteo frequently speaks and teaches on a variety of family law topics, and has donated her time to teach family law topics through the North Penn Community Education Program and the Second Saturday Program. Through her work with the PBA, Ms. DeMatteo has worked on a variety of projects, including proposing revisions to Pennsylvania’s grandparent custody statute, and co-directing the PBA FLS video “Tips and Tooks for Better Co-Parenting” which is available on YouTube. Ms. DeMatteo received her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary, and is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Hon. Alita A. Rovito
Judge Rovito joined the Chester County Court of Common Pleas in January 2022 and was named the Administrative Judge of Family Court in January 2025. She hears family, criminal and juvenile cases. Prior to her election, she was a sole practitioner in West Chester when, in January 2009, she opened Rovito Law LLC. Her practice was concentrated in all aspects of family law. Judge Rovito also acted as a mediator, arbitrator and a parenting coordinator, both prior to the new rules and after. Prior to opening her own practice, Judge Rovito served as a Family Court Hearing Officer in Chester County for almost 15 years. She presided over thousands of custody conciliations and record support, divorce, and complex equitable distribution hearings. Judge Rovito has also acted as the Juvenile Hearing Officer in both dependency and delinquency matters. After a brief period of time as in-house counsel for a Fort Washington business, Judge Rovito joined the Chester County District Attorney’s Office in 1988, where she assisted with the establishment of the Child Abuse Unit and was the managing attorney of the unit until she left in 1994 to join the Hearing Officers’ Unit. She is a member of the Education Committee for PCSTJ and co-chair of the Family Law Section. She is also a member of the Supreme Court Domestic Relations Procedural Rules Committee. She is a member of the Chester County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Teresa C. Marino, Esq.
Ms. Marino is an of counsel attorney at McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC, practicing primarily in the Harrisburg and Lancaster offices. She has been practicing family law exclusively for over a decade and focuses her practice on complex and high-net-worth matters. Ms. Marino currently serves on the PBA Family Law Section’s Council, Program Committee, and as a Member-At-Large on the Family Law Section Executive Committee. She also serves on the Dauphin County Family Law Advisory Committee, and she is a past chairwoman of the Dauphin County Bar Association’s and Lancaster Bar Association’s Family Law Sections. In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Marino practices collaborative law and serves as a mediator for all family law disputes. She is a past co-president of the Collaborative Professionals of Central Pennsylvania.
Hon. Tiffany L. Palmer
The Honorable Tiffany L. Palmer is a Pennsylvania state court trial judge currently serving in the Family Division of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Judge Palmer presides over child custody, protection from abuse, divorce, and special immigrant juvenile status cases. She was elected in 2019 to serve a 10-year term. Judge Palmer serves her community as an active member of many organizations. She is a judicial member and the Vice President of the Nicholas Cipriani American Inn of Court. She is a Judicial Fellow to the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproductive Technology Attorneys. She is also a member of the National Association of Women Judges, serving on the Immigration and LGBTQ Committees. She has served on the Board of Directors of the International Association of LGBTQ+ Judges. Judge Palmer was the Director of the Family Law Institute of the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association from 2017 to 2019. Judge Palmer is the also the recipient of several honors and awards. In 2019, Judge Palmer received the Leading Practitioner Award from the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association. She was awarded the 2019 Hazel Frank Gluck Award from the Center for American Women in Politics. In 2018, Judge Palmer received the Justice in Action Award from the Mazzoni Center in Philadelphia for her legal work on behalf of LGBT rights. In 2014, she received the Rutgers University School of Law Mary Philbrook Public Interest Award for her case work and pro bono service advancing the rights of LGBTQ families in Pennsylvania. Prior to her election to the bench, Judge Palmer practiced law for 20 years. She co-founded a law firm in 2003 practicing in the areas of LGBTQ family law, adoption, and assisted reproductive technology law. She represented clients in federal and state courts on cutting edge legal issues such as surrogacy and same-sex marriage. From 2000 to 2003, Judge Palmer was the first Legal Director at Equality Advocates Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From 1998 to 2000, she was the Family Rights Project Attorney through an Equal Justice Works fellowship for public interest law. She graduated from Rutgers University School of Law in 1998 with a joint degree in law and a master’s degree in public policy. Judge Palmer is a 1994 graduate of Northern Arizona University, earning a Bachelor of Science in journalism. She was inducted into the NAU Alumni Hall of Fame in 2022.
Heather K. Green, PhD.
Dr. Green’s practice focuses on serving forensic and clinical populations. Legal questions faced by high conflict families have become the focus of her current practice. Dr. Green received specialized training in forensic mental health assessment procedures, ethics and the law as part of her doctorate experience and subsequent post-doctoral fellowships. A frequent presenter at the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section as well as Inn of Court, referral sources have come to rely on her experience and expertise. Dr. Green’s clients appreciate her candor, attention to detail, as well as her good humor.
Anthony M. Hoover, Esq.
Mr. Hoover is a founding member of the Levin Hoover Family Law Firm in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania. Mr. Hoover has dedicated his career to family law, and he practices throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mr. Hoover was recently an Adjunct Instructor of Family Law at the Widener University Commonwealth Law School. Mr. Hoover is a frequent CLE presenter, former member of the PBA Family Law Section Council, former member of the PBA Family Law Section Executive Council, prior chair of the PBA Family Law Rules Committee, prior member of the PBA Family Law Programming Committee, and member of the Dauphin County Bar Association Family Law Section Court Relations Committee. He has been a leader in the Pennsylvania Bar Association, including selection for the 2015-2016 class of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Bar Leadership Institute, and prior member of the PBA Conference of County Bar Leaders Executive Council. Mr. Hoover is active and has strong connections at the local level. He is the former chair of the Dauphin County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, current member of the Dauphin County Court Relations Committee, and former Dauphin County Bar Association board member and Dauphin County foundation member. Mr. Hoover’s law career started as a clerk in York County, and he regularly r.,ractices in the southern Pennsylvania. He has a passion for pro bono service and community involvement. Mr. Hoover participated in the 2015 PBA Pro Bono CLE Video Project, Wills for Heroes, direct representation of complex custody matters, former board member of the Community Justice Project, and has presented CLEs regarding pro bono service. In 2018-2019, Mr. Hoover was involved in developing a project to provide free legal service for families who require legal guardianship of their adult children.
Maris J. Weiner, Esq.

Her clients include entrepreneurs, physicians, lawyers, artists, parents, grandparents and third parties seeking custody. Sawyer Sourbeer, Esq.
Sawyer’s practice is dedicated to helping individuals resolve family law issues, including divorce, child support, spousal support, alimony, child custody, prenuptial agreements, marital settlement agreements, and related issues. Sawyer’s prior experience includes working in the Clinton County Court of Common Pleas, the Centre County Office of the Public Defender, and a private Harrisburg area law firm.
Caren E. Morrissey, Esq.
Ms. Morrissey is an equitable distribution Hearing Officer in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, having previously served in the same role in Chester County. Ms. Morrissey has dedicated her career to complex family law matters. While in private practice, she served as Chair of the Montgomery Bar Association Family Section; Executive Director of the Doris Jonas Freed Inn of Court; and has served as a council member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section. Ms. Morrissey has taught numerous continuing legal education courses for both the PBA Family Law Section as well as the MBA Family Law Section. Ms. Morrissey has completed the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Arbitration Training in Chicago. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Pepperdine University and her J.D. from Villanova Law School.
Alexandria Bondy, Esq.
Alexandria Bondy is an associate at Hofstein Weiner & Meyer, P.C., where she concentrates her practice in the area of family law including: divorce, custody, support, and equitable distribution. Alex represents clients and litigates in the five-county Philadelphia area. Prior to joining Hofstein Weiner & Meyer, P.C., Alex completed a clerkship with the Honorable Viktoria Kristiansson of the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia. During her clerkship, she gained extensive experience in family law, specifically the complex issues related to child custody and domestic violence. Alex earned her J.D. and a certificate in Trial Advocacy & Litigation from Temple University Beasley School of Law. During law school, she provided legal representation for clients through the Temple Legal Aid Office and at the Defender Association of Philadelphia. Alex worked as a research assistant for now Temple Law Dean, Rachel Rebouche, whose academic scholarship focuses on family law and reproductive health access. Sean O’Reilly
Sean leads the Valuation practice for CFGI and has over 25 years of experience in the valuation field. Sean works with attorneys and their clients in preparing business valuations for equitable distribution as well as net income available for support analyses. Before joining CFGI, Sean spent six years as a Director with CBIZ, Inc., following three years with another national firm and two years with a local financial advisory firm. Sean began his career providing valuation services for five years out of the Philadelphia office of Arthur Andersen, LLP. Sean holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and earned an M.B.A. in Finance from Villanova University. He is a member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), having served on the Steering Committee for the annual M&A East conference for four years, and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers.
Lydia Terrill, Esq.
Lydia Terrill has been practicing family law exclusively for ten years. After receiving her Juris Doctor from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law in 2014, Lydia spent over five years working as an associate at a family law firm in Montgomery County. In 2020, Lydia founded her own successful solo family law practice, which she ran from 2020 until 2023, when she joined the Law Office of Christina M. DeMatteo LLC. Lydia has been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine for the years 2020-2023, a highly selective given to just 2.5 percent of lawyers in Pennsylvania. Lydia has chosen to limit her practice to family law, including the areas of divorce, equitable distribution, spousal support/alimony, child custody, child support, protection from abuse, and prenuptial agreements. She has experience handling all aspects of family law matters, from the beginning of the case to the end. Dilyana L. Petrova, CFA
Dilyana L Petrova is a Vice President and a Portfolio Manager at Bank of America Private Bank in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. In this role, she is responsible for creating and maintaining personalized investment strategies utilizing a broad range of wealth management services. Dilyana works with individuals and families, helping them manage their personal assets in keeping with their distinctive goals, risk tolerance, and personal circumstances. Dorota K. Gasienica-Kozak, Esq.
Dorota Gasienica-Kozak is a partner with the Pennsylvania law firm KingSpry, where she is Chair of the Adoption and Assisted Reproductive Technology Law Practice Group. Dorota has built her legal practice in family, adoption, estate, and assisted reproductive technology law, helping to form, guide and protect families through some of the biggest moments of their lives. There is nothing more rewarding to her than helping to build families through her legal practice. From gestational carrier agreements, legal parentage proceedings, termination of parental rights and adoption hearings, Dorota and her team work to ensure a worry-free experience, guiding clients through the often intricate legal processes of family-building for over 20 years. Dorota has been recognized for her contributions to her community and profession as the 2022 Athena Award recipient, Girl Scouts Take the Lead honoree, a YWCA “Woman of the Year,” and a Woman of Influence by Lehigh Valley Business. She has also been named a Rising Star honoree by Super Lawyer Magazine. Dorota earned dual degrees from DeSales University in Politics and Criminal Justice. She graduated from Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law, where she made significant contributions first as Staff Editor and then as Executive Editor of the Environmental Law and Technology Journal. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Paternity and Assisted Reproductive Technology Committees. She is also a member of the Monroe, Carbon, Lehigh Bar Associations, and their respective Family Law Committees. She lives in the Lehigh Valley with her husband and daughter.
Rebecca Levin Nayak, Esq.

She strives to ensure that the legal relationships between children and the adults who love and provide for them are secure, with considerable experience advising members of the LGBTQ+ community through the additional challenges they may face. Rebecca is a Fellow of the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys, chairing the Academy’s ART Membership Committee. She is actively involved in legislative efforts, striving to pass HB 350, the Uniform Parentage Act in Pennsylvania, which aims to modernize and standardize parentage laws. Rebecca is a founding member of the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association’s Family Law Institute, an organization that enables experienced family law practitioners to discuss and develop cutting-edge legal strategies for representing members of the LGBTQ+ community. Rebecca also serves on the Board of Philadelphia Family Pride.
Megan E. Watson, Esq.
Megan Watson is a partner with BKW Family Law, LLC, a boutique, women-owned family law firm. She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, having received her B.A. from Muhlenberg College and her J.D. from Temple University School of Law. Megan is passionate about children, family and civility and enjoys helping clients resolve legal issues as quickly and amicably as possible. She is the proud mother of a son and daughter. She is a past chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Family Law Section and current member of the Civil Gideon Task Force, co-chairing the family law working group. Megan also serves as an Investigator for the Bar’s Judicial Commission. She routinely volunteers as an attorney for the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program (Philadelphia VIP) and the Support Center for Child Advocates. Megan is the immediate past President of the Board of Directors of Philadelphia VIP. In addition, she sits on the Board of Advisors for Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts and for CORA-Good Shepherd Mediation. She previously served as a member of the Board of Education of Washington Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey for four years. Megan has been appointed in Philadelphia as a Family Court child advocate and guardian ad litem. She has been named to the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania’s Pro Bono Roll of Honor for exemplary pro bono work from 2012 through 2019 and received the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania’s Pro Bono Publico Award, Family Division, in 2007 and 2015. She also received a Distinguished Child Advocate Award from the Support Center for Child Advocates in 2015. Megan has been consistently recognized by Super Lawyers® since 2005 and Best Lawyers® in America since 2016. She has previously presented at the Philadelphia Bar Association’s bench-bar conference, Temple’s law school, Drexel’s law school, the Philadelphia Bar Institute, the Free Library of Philadelphia, Half Moon Seminars, LLC and Philadelphia VIP. Megan has also served as an adjunct professor at the Temple University Beasley School of Law Temple University and has been published in The Philadelphia Lawyer magazine and The Legal Intelligencer.
