Overview

All good things must come to an end. This session examines how to avoid the stress and aggravation when it comes time to wrap up a nonprofit organization. The discussion addresses the relevant law governing nonprofits and he procedures for dissolution. This session looks at voluntary dissolution, involuntary dissolution, the Attorney General’s role, and more.

Ms. McCann is a member at Block & Associates, LLC, a small, women-owned law firm that is attuned to the needs of other female business owners. Ms. McCann provides legal, tax and business advice to her clients in the areas of entity formation and dissolution, mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and all forms and types of business agreements. She helps clients dealing with ownership disputes, drafting and modifying shareholder and operating agreements, and advising on equity-based compensation issues. She also assists nonprofit clients with their business- and tax-related needs, including formations, reorganizations, and dissolutions.
