Because the educational process is fundamentally important to advancing diversity and eliminating bias, PBA, PBI, and the PA CLE Board partner in this project that recognizes the critical importance of diversity in the legal profession and justice system.
In this facilitator-led program, participants will explore realistic workplace situations and contemplate the issues, viewpoints, and ethical principles at play, including:
- An uncomfortable situation in judicial chambers requires careful thought and some challenging decisions. Choices and consequences must be considered. What will you do?
- It is annual review time at the firm and one lawyer’s expectations of making partner are dashed. Are the reasons behind the decision acceptable? Is concern warranted?
- The beliefs of a large client create a dilemma for partners in a firm. Is it possible to meet the client’s needs and provide the best possible representation? What choices will you make?
Learn ideas for inclusion for your own personal life and for your firm and organization. Gain access to resources and websites to create your own “virtual laboratory” for collecting data and modifying perceptions and behavior.
PBI thanks the PA CLE Board for letting us use their Objection program as the foundation for this program.
