About

The Medical Marijuana Act leaves much to be interpreted as it overlaps with employer responsibility and patient rights. This CLE will reveal the nuances of the Act, reflect on caselaw as it applies to employment law, and reach-out for pro-bono cases to define the law.

Our esteemed faculty is on the frontlines of medical marijuana litigation. Attorney Judith D. Cassel has represented patients and marijuana producers in various cases, creating caselaw that defines statute elements. Attorney John A. McCreary, Jr. represents public and private employers and has written about medical marijuana law for the Legal Intelligencer .

Cassel and McCreary are quoted in "Unimpaired, Unemployed", a Spotlight PA article addressing the employment contradiction between having a medical marijuana card and actually using medical marijuana.
