About

Join Lorie Dakessian, Esq. and Patrica Hamill, Esq., Co-Chairs of Clark Hill’s Title IX and Campus Discipline Practice, as they discuss the impact of the proposed new Title IX regulations on all facets of college and university disciplinary proceedings, from the initial stages of a complaint through the investigation, hearing (if any) and appeal process.

Although the regulations have not yet been issued and may not to take effect until the 2024-25 academic year, one of the most significant changes that will occur if the regulations are promulgated as proposed will be no longer requiring universities to hold live hearings.  There are other significant changes as well regarding the scope of and right to review evidence, appeal rights, and emergency measures.

The presenters, who represent students in college and university Title IX disciplinary proceedings, will discuss the practical implications of these proposed changed to the regulations.

All attendees will receive the course book as a digital download.

Recorded in November 2023.
