Undue influence as a form of elder abuse is a serious concern for attorneys representing older clients. This webinar will start by reviewing recent findings in the area of geriatric medicine that can help identify both the older persons who tend to be the victims of undue influence, and the type of persons who become perpetrators. Next, the webinar will apply current research to describe how these relationships develop and the specific signs indicating that undue influence is taking place. The final part of the presentation will discuss the remedies that are available to older persons and their heirs who seek redress for the damages resulting from the financial exploitation.
