Frank Kosir Jr., Esq.
Mr. Kosir is a partner at Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP in Pittsburgh and is a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Lending, Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Energy and Mineral Rights, and Construction Law groups. He has significant civil litigation and general practice experience in all areas of real property law. Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Kosir acquired extensive experience in all facets of real estate development, sales, construction and leasing with his family’s home construction company. His knowledge of the construction, planning and business aspects of real estate provides him with a unique understanding that he utilizes in assisting clients with their real estate related issues. Mr. Kosir represents clients in a wide range of matters, including commercial and residential real estate tax assessment appeals, commercial and residential sales and leasing, oil and gas lease negotiations, boundary line disputes, real estate title defense and claims, commercial and residential landlord-tenant proceedings, quiet title proceedings, eminent domain proceedings, condominium creation and amendment, and zoning and land use issues. He has successfully prosecuted and defended numerous real estate title claims, including obtaining a defense verdict in a multi-million dollar adverse possession claim. A life-long resident of the Pittsburgh area, Mr. Kosir received his B.A., summa cum laude, in Business Administration and Political Science in 1998 from Washington and Jefferson College. He received his J.D. from the Duquesne University School of Law in 2001. A member of the Pennsylvania, Allegheny County and Washington County Bar Associations, Mr. Kosir serves on the PBA’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section Council and formerly served as Chairman of the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Real Property Section. He resides in Peters Township, where he formerly served on the Planning Commission and now serves as an elected member of Township Council. For more than a decade, Mr. Kosir wrote a monthly real estate case law update for the Allegheny County Bar Association and continues to write a quarterly real estate update column for The Legal Intelligencer. He frequently lectures at continuing legal education programs sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and has on five occasions been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer’s Rising Star in real property law.
Krista Kochosky Esq.
Ms. Kochosky is chair of the Real Estate Practice at The Lynch Law Group. She has over 25 years of experience counseling clients in a variety of real estate matters. Ms. Kochosky assists real estate investors with business formation as well as acquisition and sale/leasing of residential and commercial property. She represents developers/builders and individual property owners with zoning and land use matters before municipal boards and in civil court inclusive of boundary disputes and quiet title actions. She represents commercial landlords with leasing and property management of retail space as well as residential lessors of long and short term rental properties. In addition to her assistance with transactions, she has extensive litigation experience representing clients in civil suits in state and federal courts in actions for breach of sales and construction contracts, quiet title/specific performance, and violation of consumer protection laws. She lectures frequently for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and national programs. Her most recent presentations include “Quiet Title Actions: Primer in PA,” “Drafting and Modifying Agreements of Sale,” “The Role of Insurance and Indemnity in Business Litigation” and “Drafting & Modifying Residential Agreements of Sale” sand “Airbnb, VRBO and Short-Term Rental Leases.” Ms. Kochosky is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, United States District Court for the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania, as well as the Supreme Court of West Virginia. She graduated magna cum laude from Kent State University in 1993 with a B.A. in English. Ms. Kochosky received her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 1997, where she represented Duquesne in Trial Advocacy.
Sharon Menchyk Esq.
Ms. Menchyk is an attorney with Tucker Arensberg PC. Ms. Menchyk’s practice focuses primarily on commercial and real estate matters. She is a member of the Bar of Pennsylvania and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Ms. Menchyk graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2000.
