Catherine Klein Esq.
As a lawyer at Cheshire Law Group, Ms. Klein works as outside general counsel for numerous nonprofit organizations, including private foundations. She meets client needs with empathy and understanding while quickly distilling complex legal matters in ways that everyone can understand. Ms. Klein addresses a wide range of legal matters and especially excels at advising on tax regulations, joint ventures and other nonprofit collaborations with for-profits, and strategies for mitigating risk. She also provides critical support for founders of intricate startups and grassroots organizations alike, helping them to realize their visions and by providing a sound foundation for future compliance. Ms. Klein’s background working within nonprofit organizations informs her perspective as she helps clients work through legal issues. Prior to joining Cheshire Law Group, she worked at the Legal Aid Society in New York City, representing children in child welfare proceedings. Ms. Klein is a board member of the Philadelphia Ballet and she previously served on the board of the Anti- Violence Partnership of Philadelphia, a leading victim services agency. She graduated from Hamilton College with a B.A. degree then she graduated cum laude from St. John’s School of Law. Ms. Klein is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New York.
